·       Another fine performance on the road  for Jon Churchward Schools of TaeKwon Do students

·         First England then Scotland now Wales!!! Local TaeKwon Do students from the Jon Churchward Schools of TaeKwon Do continued their success on the roads of Britain when they travelled down to the Welsh International TaeKwon Do Federation’s Celtic Cup. The club took a small but extremely experienced team of 5 made up of Dalton Foster, Sean Ranson, Jordan Ranson, Alexander Wallace and Louise Foster down to Cardiff to take part in the Welsh Open International championship for the first time. The individual competitors took part in categories of Patterns, continuous sport  sparring and jumping high kicks.

The day went extremely well for the squad who are well in to the swing of “competition season”  and have been working hard in practice for many months to be selected by the club to represent the TaeKwon Do Association of England alongside other member clubs from the North of England. Final medal tally weighed in at an impressive 4 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze .

Mr Churchward said” I only wanted to take some of my more experienced competitors to ‘test the water’ this year as we have not attended this event before but after their performance I could have taken many more. Next year we will look to take a large squad to help prepare our international competitors as we have a big year in 2014 with the up and coming World Cup in Jamaica”
