Believing in Ben

Mr Churchward this morning went round to visit Ben at home while he’s between treatments. While he was there he gave him the cards from everyone and the collection that is for over £150. Mr Churchward took the card to Ireland and at the Kilkenny Open it was signed by all the masters there. A big thank you to Master Dunbar for taking the time to get them all for Mr Churchward. Ben was enjoying trying to spot Masters Sutherland, Douglas, O Toole, O Rourke, Dunbar and Franks as well as some of the TAE senior instructors who also kindly signed the card.

Mr Churchward was really impressed with Ben who is really looking good considering all the treatment in Chemotherapy he is currently having and you will all be please to know he is still as cheeky as ever!!!

A huge thank you to everyone who signed and donated towards his collection and also to everyone who has done other fund raising events for him and the Leukaemia charity.

Once Ben has recovered he is planning on buying a pet tortoise with all the funds raised and he is looking forward to another holiday in Tenerife!!

Ben is currently having Chemotherapy and then will need a Bone marrow transplant so we would like to encourage as many people as possible to be as brave as his brother Zach who volunteered for tests to see if he could donate. The test is easy to have these days so if you would like to volunteer please contact Mr Churchward or Bens Mam or Dad who are more than happy to help get you on the register with the Anthony Nolan register. Mr Churchward has been on the register for many years.
